Following bariatric surgery, the newly sculpted stomach pouch requires adequate time to heal without stretch or pressure. Dr. Sudish guides patients through four structured dietary phases:
Phase 1: Clear Liquids (Days 1 to 7)
Hydration with water, clear broths, and diluted electrolyte solutions in small sips.
Phase 2: Full Pureed Liquids (Weeks 2 to 3)
Protein shakes, smooth strained soups, and blended purees to meet essential amino acid targets.
Phase 3: Soft High-Protein Foods (Weeks 4 to 6)
Scrambled eggs, soft paneer, flaked fish, and steamed vegetables chewed thoroughly.
Phase 4: Long-Term Mindful Nutrition
Small frequent balanced meals rich in lean proteins, paired with daily multivitamin supplementation and lifelong hydration discipline.
